I'm not quite sure how to describe a Next Level, destination workshop- my thoughts on the subject are enormous. I just received an email from Audrey and she had mentioned it was "one of the best weeks of her life". WOW! What a huge compliment. I immediately let me wife read the email because if it wasn't for her, holding down the fort with my two girls, there would be no Next Level Caribbean, UK, NYC, Paris, Spain, etc. Stacey, my wife is so much a part of this process. Many other students have expressed similar feelings and I am truly humbled and elated how the other students and I can add value to a person's life. I have come to the conclusion, the more value I can give to someone, the more rewarding the experience. I am addicted to wanting to help people in their photography career and in life. I pinch myself because just a few years ago, I was completely down about my life and now I'm living my dream and helping others find theirs! ( www.scottrobertstory.com ) . These workshops also help me to become a better photographer too and I can come back to work refreshed and invigorated.

I feel so privileged to be a mentor to these students. Here is how I spend my time at a workshop: 30% percent on technical aspects, another 30% trying to instill confidence and to encourage a life change that will help, 30% enjoying new friendships and deepening old ones and 10% just being weird and enjoying new experiences together. 100% of the time having fun and enjoying life.

All those who have been on both a 2 day workshop and a 4 day,  will ALL agree that a 4-5 day destination experience is many times as rewarding. It was so nice to see all of us bond so well together, heck we even had some of the "models" and non-photography friends sitting in my photography marketing class taking notes and I was shocked when one said, "Scott, you've convinced me to change my job- I want more out of life...." I love to mix life principles with my photography teaching. I'm an old dude and have made a ton of mistakes in my life and I love to share what has shaped my journey.

I'm not saying the workshop is perfect, there are many things I can improve but overall, I got a sense that we all shared some really special and significant moments together and learned much and gained new friendships with people who can add to our lives. Each workshop gets better and better. Special thanks to Casey who helped me pull this together who sacrificed so much by being away from her precious family. And to all the "models" (we didn't use any professional models but real couples who like to enjoy life and put up with us crazy photographers). I'm thinking Mediterranean Cruise next year- Anyone interested?

Some of us came in a day early to Miami, South Beach. Of course we didn't sit around, we had to get out there and shoot! We didn't have any models but luckily some of us didn't mind posing for the camera! Here are some shots around Miami South Beach, a great place to visit.
