Linh and Saul / Back from the Dead!
Linh and Saul In our State Capital! I've done a lot of engagement sessions but this one feels different. The most important thing to remember if you are a couple doing an engagment session is to be yourself and don't be afraid to show emotion. This is what makes your session unique and personal. Hopefully your photographer will make you feel comfortable, if not, that is okay because a really good photographer will make you look natural, beautiful and romantic no matter what. So the more you have a good time with your session, the better the images.  Linh and Saul started the session by picking me up at the Sacramento airport and meeting me with this lovely sign. Wow, talk about making me feel uncomfortable and special!! But, geez, it is so nice to be loved!! Of course I took a picture with my iPhone and did a mobile upload to Facebook immediately! Saul and Linh are such fun people and I think it really shows in the images. Their wedding in Sept will be a blast.
Back From the Dead Yes, I am alive. I have been soooo busy that I just don't have that much time to blog. I have so much to say and share so hang in there with me, it's all good. Here is my schedule for the next couple weeks... Thurs (tomorrow) 7am- flight to Florida for a Ft. Laud wedding Friday- Tea Ceremony, Susan and John Saturday- Wedding, Susan and John Monday- fly to NYC for a two day job in Manhattan Wednesday- 11pm fly to Paris for a week and a half Sunday- Start Next Level workshop, Paris Thursday- E session with Vince and Joyce in Paris Friday- Vince and Joyce Wedding in France Saturday- Fly home Saturday- Hug my girls like there is no tomorrow!! I've never been away from my girls for two weeks so this will be a bitter/sweet trip for me. However I am so looking forward to this Saturday's wedding and my trip to Paris. In 1999, it was in Paris where I found my passion for photography. I can never grow tired of that place!!! Don't be afriad to comment and keep in touch! |

as always, love the images!! : ) very true about what you say re: being themselves... each E / wedding images I see usually have unique character and can even tell a bit about the sort of couple they are.

I know what you mean about leaving your babies behind. You'll be so busy. You might even feel guilty for how fast it flies by. The girls will have mommy all to themselves, just the way they like it! Haha. Poor mommy! I bet it's comforting to know that your wife is such an amazing woman though.

I don't know why but this slide show made me smile. I love the American flag effect and my favorite has to be the telephone booth. The way I look at each pictures is so different than before. (after your amazing workshop that is) I see them in a whole new light and the more I look at them the more inspired I get. It's an awesome feeling!!!

I think now that you understand what I look for, how I pose, what light I see, you can piece together how I take photos. My photography is less of a mystery and you see the potential of using my simple rules so it inspires you. Keep it up Linda, you have a bright future.
