@scottrobert - Randal? My real name is Jonathan Ng I work for the fat guy! ha!!!
We use two Epson R300 printer and use Taiyo Yuden Glossy DVD and CD's. They are the best we've ever used. We have tested many and these look very professional and the ink is dry right out of our printers.
My boss says he likes to push your buttons...I say he is jealous of your work, I think I am right.
hahahaah, well, they don't make ink jet printers anymore that print on DVDs, not sure why. So that is why I recommend Lightscribe, what you do it great but I can't promote a technology that no one has access to.
@scottrobert - Scott they do still make them, you need to look around closer. Epson still has a couple models and there is also that new Cd printer that spins and prints CD's only that cost around $200 that we have seen at Fry's and other stores. Our printers last around 4 years then break down and we have purchased several as brand new back ups kept in a closet when one dies we just open another one. Ebay is where you can still find all of these units from Epson, right now you can find all sorts of the epson photor280 for around $60 w/inks that print CD and DVD's.
Thanks for the tip! Yes, I've looked into that new ink jet printer but the ink is very expensive from what I've read. Hey for $60, I will check out the r280 but again, I don't like to recommend going down a road on technology that is becoming extinct. I think Lightscribe will get faster and cheaper as time goes on and less hassle buying inks, etc.
@scottrobert - Litescribe is cool, but there is nothing like full color that looks amazing!
Nice chatting with you, the big guy is getting back from a shoot soon and I need to finish my work. Later
