    Happy Chinese New Year

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite photos from China. You can view more photos at www.limfamilystory.com

I guess I never really appreciated my culture until I visited China and understood what an amazing place it is. The people are so warm and friendly too. I knew the world would be captivated by China during the Olympics. First of all, it takes getting use to being around soooo many people. Have you ever walked across the street with thousands of people at a time? Have you ever been to a shopping mall 10 stories high? The amount of product being distributed is incomprehensible at times. How about being in a country where the largest family unit is three people? You can fit your entire family on a scooter! Visiting a culture that has been around for thousands of years is such a rich experience- there is so much to see and experience.

I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them. I know some of you have seen these before and followed my blog everyday of our trip back in 2006, your love and support for our family was incredible and I'll always remember getting emails and comments from around the world from people that didn't even know me but wanted to wish our family well.

The internet makes the world a bit smaller and it is wonderful how we can share our human experience with people around the world.

    Happy New Year!

I found this in an article online...

Those born in ox years tend to be painters, engineers, and architects. They are stable, fearless, obstinate, hard-working and friendly. Jack Nicholson, Jane Fonda, Walt Disney, and Anthony Hopkins were all born in the year of the ox.

For all you camera geeks out there, all these photos where taken with a Canon 20D and many with a 10-22mm lens. In fact I sold that lens to Curt Ogawa and now Curt is selling it because that darn guy bought a 5D MKII and wants to sell it so contact him if you want a great deal on one! Heck I may want to buy it back for my Rebel XS!!!
